During week 2 and 3, I created this map above representing the location of UWF's main campus; this is in relation to the major cities and rivers nearby as well as the interstates 110 and 10. I created an inset map as a reference of where Escambia County is located within the state of Florida. This week I learned how to add essential map elements such as the title, scale, legend, North arrow and citation. These elements are critical to interpreting any map. In relation to the first project, the essential map elements create cohesive and informative map. I also added the University's logo. I enjoyed creating this map and found it slightly challenging to find colors that represented the information appropriately without overpowering the map.
